BRIC NS is committed to the principles of patient engagement and recognizes the value of having patients, caregivers and people with lived experience involved in all aspects of the research process.  We have created a bursary program to make it easier for patients and caregivers to attend Primary Health Care Research Day. We have 2 bursaries available that include registration, travel costs, accommodations, and some meals.

This is an application to request one of these bursaries. Your answers don’t have to be long. A few sentences for each question is fine. Your form will be reviewed by a subset of the Primary Health Care Research Day Planning Committee. We may not be able to provide support to everyone who applies.

You can contact Jessica Nowlan at 902- 473-8037 if you have questions about the bursary.
If you are unable to complete this form via computer,
please contact eSource at 902-445-4846 to register through a confidential process on the phone.

I am interested in being contacted about other opportunities to learn about or participate in primary health care research as a patient advisor.

8:15 – 9:00 am Brewing Ideas - If interested, please select your desired topic.
You will be placed on a waiting list. Each topic is limited to 15 participants.

The purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity to create new,
collaborative research teams with the goal of creating a research question
and applying for research funding.  In this format, small groups will have
the opportunity to discuss an idea and to come up with next steps for moving
the idea forward.  BRIC NS will help these groups set up future meetings
and make connections with other people who may be interested in the topic.
